The visuo-spatial sketchpad (VSSP) deals with both visual and spatial information. Depending on the particular demands of a task different brain areas in the occipital and parietal regions will be active. The VSSP is thus thought to be based on an assembly of occipital, parietal, and frontal brain regions.
