Hemispheric differences in language processing
Hemispheric differences in language processing
About This Video
Language is usually considered to be processed in the left hemisphere (at least for right-handed people). Left-handed people often show the same pattern, but sometimes language is less lateralized. However, if one looks at language processing in more detail it becomes clear that the right hemisphere also makes important contributions to language processing. Both, global semantic understanding and prosodic information are processed there.
