FMRI studies with children

FMRI studies with children

About This Video

When conducting fMRI studies it is not easy to test children. For a typical fMRI study, a participant will have to lie still for a significant amount of time in a noisy and unattractive environment. Dr. Friederici’s lab has developed a strategy by which children are ‘trained’ in a mock-up scanner by playing in the mock-up scanner until they are used to the procedure.
